- All your personal chattels and the first £200,000 of your estate goes to your surviving spouse.

The remainder of your estate is then divided into two equal shares.
- A, Your spouse is given one share absolutely.
- B, The other share is given to your parents or if no parents your brothers and sisters (or nieces and nephews).
- If there are no surviving relatives then the whole of the residue passes to your surviving spouse.
However
- When you and your spouse dies FORTY per cent Tax on everything over
£285,000 may have to be paid.
- Your spouse will probably leave your collective estates to his/her family and
your family may never inherit from you.
- Friends, Charities and pets cannot benefit.
- Funeral wishes may never be known.
